Mineral Chemistry
Wolframite is the principal ore of tungsten, and is found in quartz veins associated with granites, occurring with scheelite. Phases structurally related to wolframite are the two end members of the wolframite solid solution, huebnerite (MnWO4), and ferberite (FeWO4).
